Heating your home efficiently

Energy efficiency ratings are fast becoming a deciding factor when purchasing a new home. Your potential new home (and current, if you’re looking to sell) should be well insulated and produce a low, if-not zero, carbon footprint.

Air source heat pumps

The most efficient way to heat your home is with an air source heat pump. A renewable energy source, air source heat pumps provide 4kW of energy to your home, for just 1kW of electricity making them 4 times more efficient than traditional methods of heating. Converting air - irrespective of outside temperatures - into heat, the required supply is sent to radiators to warm your home, while the remainder is stored within a hot water cylinder.

What are the benefits?

  • Lower fuel bills

  • Consistent heat

  • Energy-efficient

  • Financial rewards

Gas boilers

Alternate methods of heating are gas boilers. Using a gas boiler to heat your home accounts for approximately 50% of your yearly energy bills – but by installing a newer, high energy rated boiler, you can keep a cap on spend. Modern boilers are eco-friendly, meaning the energy used to heat your home can be easily controlled to prevent wastage. Upon installation of new gas boilers, 50five also fit an Adey MagnaClean Filter to guarantee protection against metal in the water, as well as a smart thermostat which provides homeowners with more control over heating schedules and temperatures.

What are the benefits?

  • Compact size

  • Fast working

  • Energy-efficient

  • Complete solution

Alternative solutions

50five are also certified installers of Tesla Powerwall – a home-battery solution, powered by solar. The amount of energy generated by solar panels is often too much at one time. The Tesla Powerwall captures the additional energy produced to store until required. Solar power can be used to power air source heat pumps – a clean, zero-emission, low-cost way to provide energy to your home. Introducing the Tesla Powerwall enables your air source heat pump to run off the grid – further reducing your reliance on fossil fuels and energy spend.

50five aim to provide an affordable, energy efficient heating solution to households across the UK. Working in partnership with leading manufacturers such as Vaillant and Mitsubishi, we only provide solutions we believe in – those which will improve the energy rating of homes and provide a lifetime value.
