Tesla energy plan

The energy plan is provided by Tesla in partnership with Octopus Energy. It is aimed at enabling its clients to acquire a Tesla Powerwall with ease. The Tesla energy plan offers the most competitive import and export rates on the market with a flat import rate of £0.08/kWh – the lowest single rate tariff available in the market (as of July 2020) and export rate of £0.08/kWh for any exported electricity. The plan is 24/7 flat rate with no standing charges.

Well, joining the energy plan is pretty simple. To qualify for the Tesla energy plan you must own or have installed, a Tesla vehicle, Tesla Powerwall 2, EV charger, solar panels and a domestic electricity supply. Upon purchasing the Tesla Powerwall 2 customers will receive £200 credit, which is equivalent to 8,000 miles of free driving. This is only applicable to those who don’t already own Powerwall 2.

The Tesla app also allows users to seamlessly monitor Powerwall, solar and home energy use anytime, from anywhere. Powerwall 2 is the only home battery where all components are created by the same manufacturer (Tesla themselves), giving further strength to the already huge 10-year standard warranty.

Once you pay the required installation fee of the Powerwall, you will be required to schedule the installation. You should find a certified Tesla Powerwall installer. Once you have activated your energy plan, you can now enjoy using Tesla products at a flat rate. The registration process is as simple as that.
